Lightning Strikes Twice In Fourth Quarter For Mac: What It Means for His Career and Legacy

The Bills went on to get two more takeaways on Pats QB Mac Jones. Milano intercepted a tipped ball in the end zone with 5:03 in the fourth quarter to prevent another potential TD and Edmunds put icing on the victory with an INT in the final three minutes that allowed the Bills to kneel out the clock.

Their incredible long battery life, stunningly rich display and lightning-fast speeds are a signature part of the Mac experience and helped drive an all-time record revenue for Mac during the September quarter. In wearables, home and accessories a wave of innovation spurred 10% year-over-year revenue growth during the September quarter. New features in Apple Watch Series 8, including temperature sensing capabilities, retrospective ovulation estimates and crash detection are helping to keep customers healthier and safer. Lightning Strikes Twice In Fourth Quarter For Mac

Jones was issued yet another fine just 24 hours prior to kickoff against the Miami Dolphins in Week 17. Jones attempted to recover a fumble from teammate Rhamondre Stevenson in the fourth quarter. In the process, Jones shoved a Bengals player after he entered the pile. New England was penalized and flagged for unsportsmanlike conduct instantly after.

That means iPhone 5c sold twice as many units as all Blackberry smartphone sales combined (6 million), more than all of Nokia's Windows Phone smartphone sales in the winter quarter (8.2 million), and in fact, all of Microsoft's Windows Phones sold globally in the winter quarter (slightly more than 8.2 million, as Nokia makes 90 percent of the world's Windows Phones).

Down 14-0, the Rockets knew they needed a drive and got one. Using a steady diet of runs the moved the ball down the field. It was a nice mix of Charlie Rice, Brendan Spellman, Charlie Rogers and Wondu Evans toting the rock. Twice on the drive they were faced with a fourth and inches, and twice they converted with quarterback Tony Buttari keepers up the middle.

The Pirates saw two drives fizzle to start the second half. This gave Bay Village a chance to tie or take the lead and they did. After a scoreless third quarter, Mac Weingart opened the fourth quarter scoring on the very first play with an 8-yard touchdown run. They went 50 yards on 9 plays following a River fumble at midfield.

Jones threw his lone first-half pass to Jonnu Smith, who picked up 12 yards late in the first quarter. The Patriots became the only team since 1978 to attempt one pass in the first half. Jones' other completion came in the fourth quarter on a screen to Brandon Bolden and went for seven yards.

Vikings: With quarterback Kirk Cousins sidelined by COVID-19, the spotlight Sunday was on the Minnesota Vikings' backup quarterbacks. Coach Kevin O'Connell split the plays relatively evenly between Sean Mannion and Kellen Mond, and after a slow start, Mond made some throws that will have fans buzzing this week. Both Mannion and Mond missed open receivers on third-down passes into the end zone, leading to short field goals from Greg Joseph. At halftime, O'Connell acknowledged: "I thought both times on third down, we had throws to be made. Just have to continue to progress." If anything, it appears Mond would benefit from additional repetitions moving forward. He opened the third quarter with a 22-yard pass to receiver Dan Chisena, followed by a 5-yard scoring strike to receiver Albert Wilson. He threw a second touchdown pass to Wilson, this one 20 yards, in the fourth quarter. Overall, Mond completed his final five throws and finished with 119 passing yards and the two scores. Mannion connected on eight of 12 passes for 79 yards. Rookie running back Ty Chandler, however, threatened to overshadow the Mannion-Mond competition. Plowing through big holes in the middle of the second-team offensive line, Chandler rushed for 50 yards on five carries and also returned a kickoff 56 yards. He has worked behind Dalvin Cook, Alexander Mattison and Kene Nwangwu during training camp drills, but his performance Sunday made clear the Vikings have excellent depth at the position. -- Kevin Seifert

Commanders: Though quarterback Carson Wentz was solid -- 10-of-13, 74 yards in his Washington debut -- it was troubling to see running back Antonio Gibson fumble on his second carry. Gibson fumbled five times in the first 10 games last season and six times overall, losing four. But he said he worked on it this offseason, using a weighted ball during sessions with his trainer. Rookie Brian Robinson played the next series and looked good. Robinson carried six times for 26 yards. Robinson showed patience and gained yards after contact. Gibson returned in the second quarter with the second unit. Washington's coaches liked Gibson's work in the spring and, thus far, in training camp -- he fumbled twice in one practice, though. Coaches said Gibson looked more explosive after lowering his body fat from 18% to around 12% in the offseason. However, Robinson could provide a strong option for Washington if Gibson's fumbling woes resume this season. Gibson finished with 2 yards on four carries, but the fumble will be the main point of discussion with him. -- John Keim

Steelers: While Mitch Trubisky likely remains the favorite to earn the starting quarterback job, rookie Kenny Pickett impressed in his first NFL game action with his mobility, poise and ability to throw on the run. He orchestrated a game-winning drive, capped off by a 24-yard touchdown pass to receiver Tyler Vaughns with three seconds left. After turning the ball over on downs late in the fourth quarter on a fourth-down sack, Pickett got a shot at redemption after rookie Mark Robinson's strip sack of Drew Lock. Pickett responded with a quick scoring drive, including an 8-yard scramble up the middle to set up the game-winning score. Pickett finished his first NFL preseason action completing 13 of 15 attempts for 95 yards and two touchdown passes, along with a two-point conversion pass to tight end Connor Heyward. He also had three rushes for 16 yards.

Texans: The Davis Mills-led offense failed to pick up a first down in Mills' two series of action, as he went 3-for-3 passing for 14 yards. Offensive coordinator Pep Hamilton called a conservative set of plays for the first-team offense, as the majority of the plays were runs. But when Dameon Pierce entered the game in the second quarter, he was a bolt of lightning for the offense. The running back continued flashing the explosiveness he has shown throughout training camp, rushing for 49 yards on five carries. On his first carry of the game, he broke for 20 yards, which sparked the Texans' first touchdown drive. It won't be too long before Pierce is the lead back in the running back room if he keeps providing impactful runs. -- DJ Bien-Aime

Ravens: Tyler Huntley once again showed why he's among the NFL's top backup quarterbacks. Huntley was more accurate in the preseason opener than he has been all of training camp, completing 88.9% of his passes (16-of-18) and putting great touch on his 14-yard touchdown pass. He also converted a fourth down with a physical 14-yard run. The Ravens will always be at their best with Lamar Jackson (who didn't play Thursday night), but they know they can remain competitive with Huntley. The Ravens extended their preseason winning streak to 21 games. "It means a lot to the culture, just to show that we're a winning team," Huntley said. "And we don't care what kind of game it is, the Ravens are going to fight to get a win." -- Jamison Hensley

Mac Jones completed a 45-yard pass to set up a touchdown in his first game action of the preseason, Tristian Vizcaino hit a 51-yard go-ahead field goal in the fourth quarter and the New England Patriots beat the Carolina Panthers 20-10 in a preseason game on Friday night.

In 2005, Hasselbeck led Seattle to Super Bowl XL, where they lost to Pittsburgh in a game remembered for its poor officiating.[24] The NFL Network called it one of the 10 most controversial games in NFL History. Head referee Bill Leavy later apologized to Hasselbeck at a Seahawks offseason practice in 2010, publicly saying he would "go to his grave for kicking several calls in the fourth quarter that affected the outcome of the game."[25]

In the second quarter, Trayanum and White realigned the natural cycle, as lighting struck twice for a quick one-yard touchdown with White bullying his way into the endzone out of the I formation for the second time on a running back toss.

With new starting quarterback Trevor Lawrence knocked out of the game, No. 3 Clemson rallied behind Travis Etienne, who ran for 2-yard touchdown with 41 seconds remaining in the fourth quarter to give the Tigers a 27-23 victory over Syracuse on Saturday.

The Tigers (4-1) had built a 14-3 lead in the first half before the game was delayed for two hours, 44 minutes at the 4:27 mark of the second quarter as lightning forced players and fans to take shelter.

The wearables category was the most eye-catching, with Apple making $19.8 billion this quarter from sales of things like AirPods and watches, compared to $16.9 billion this time last year. That's more than it made from Macs, which came in at $10.4 billion this quarter (up from $9.1 billion last year). Maestri said on the call that "our wearables business has doubled in three years and is nearly the size of a Fortune 100 business." If you're keeping track, that means the Services category made Apple almost twice as much money as Macs, which is the next closest category (aside from iPhones, which came in at about $50.5 billion).

Trailing by two scores, Nation Ford made a push to open the fourth quarter with an 11-play drive taking up 75-yards as quarterback Carson Black hit Daheem Knowles for a 10-yard touchdown pass. The drive was aided by big catches from Mitchell Ladamus and Jeremiah Hailstock to get them in the red zone. That pulled them to within seven points. Hailstock caught five passes for 52 yards for the Falcons. 2ff7e9595c
